Dear Students,
Department of Electronics & Communication of Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology started functioning from the academic year 1997-98 with an intake of 60 for B. Tech course. The intake was increased to 90 in the academic year 2000-2001 and since then the intake remains at this level. The department lays stress on all round development of the students as well as faculty and laboratory staff by providing them conducive academic environment and necessary infrastructure for carryingout academic and research work. The sense of self discipline and responsibility is inculcated in the students and staff. The department has distinguished faculty, Most of them holding M.Tech

degrees.Student Chapter of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers is functioning in the College. Seminar are conducted on topic of current interest in Electronics and Telecommunication and related fields. The website will provide one more channel of communication between the department and students and will help in faster dissemination of information. The website will be regularly updated to provide current information as well as information of topical interest in line with the placement market. To achieve the vision and goals of the department, it is necessary that all concerned would need to work together and invest in mental and physical energies to uphold the name of the department. The intake of students and number of faculty members in the Department has been steadily increasing. The faculty members are not only providing high quality education to the students, but also are immersed in cutting-edge research which covers almost all disciplinary areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering.I hope that the information on these pages reflects this vision and will motivate you to learn more about us with a view to participating in our programs - whether as a student, a member of staff, or industry collaborator or sponsor.
