Information Technology
Engineering involves the organization of scientific, technical, practical and managerial knowledge for the purpose of solving in an orderly manner the many kinds of technical and practical problems which society is continually facing. The increasing complexity of the method requirements for satisfying the requirements of society has brought with it the requirement of corresponding specialization in the field Information Technology at Engineering level. A graduate engineer from Information Technology department has sufficient knowledge of science and technology, and an appreciation of different kinds of technical skills which enable him/her to identify problems and to design and plan solution in the IT and allied areas. The costs of the resources (finance, manpower, equipment and energy) are necessary to bring the project to completion as per the needs of the industry.
Keeping the above mentioned in view the college started the Department of Information Technology in 2001. Currently the department has qualified faculty members and an excellent supportive infrastructure. The students of the department have made the institution proud in academic performance, sports events , cultural events and social service activities. Number of batches have graduated from the department since its inception. Alumni of the department are either placed in the IT sector or pursuing their higher studies at reputed institutes in India and abroad. Some of our alumni are now successful entrepreneurs.
I am confident that the students of the present batches would justify the credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective job areas and make the department proud.
I wish that the students, alumni and faculty of the department would put their best foot forward to realize the objectives of the department and in turn of the institution.
