Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology is the first self-financing Engineering College in the state of Punjab. The College started in 1997 and within a short span of 14 years, is ranked amongst the most sought after Engineering College in the Northern region, for its excellent academics, state of the art infrastructure and facilities and prestigious placements.

The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the Government of Punjab and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar. The College offers B.Tech. Program in CSE, ECE, EE, IT, Mechanical and Biotechnology and Post-Graduate courses of MBA, M.Tech. (CSE), M.Tech. (Biotech), M.Tech. (Production) & M.Tech. (CAD/CAM). The Mechanical Engineering Department of the College has been chosen as the ‘Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing Sciences; by PTU.

SUSCET is an ISO 9001-2008 certified college, which in itself is a hallmark of quality in management systems. The college has also been awarded the, ‘National Gold Star’, award by the ‘International Business Council’, New Delhi in the year 2002, for its creditable achievements in the field of academics.

The College has MOU’s with a good number of International Institutes, and has Chapters of many professional bodies. Students and Faculty win a number of National Awards and honors every year.

The College has been accredited by TCS for placements. In a survey of Technical Institutions conducted by the renewed magazine “DATAQUEST” SUSCET is ranked among the top 100 Technical Institutions in the Country.
